MONSTER BUILD

GC Cooling Is Building A Godzilla-Powered Fox For The SEMA Show

With the return of an in-person SEMA Show this year, we can expect a heightened level of interest in project car builds destined for the show floor.

Of course, those of most interest to anyone reading this would be the Mustang projects. Easily one of the most anticipated cars in that group is the Foxzilla from GC Cooling.

Built to showcase the company’s line of cooling products, this car will also highlight a number of other products, including several new bits designed for its pushrod powerplant of choice — Ford’s 7.3-liter Godzilla V8.

GC Cooling is constructing one of the most anticipated project cars for this year’s SEMA Show — Foxzilla! Powered by a ProCharged 7.3-liter Godzilla engine and sporting a litany of upgrades from the likes of Detroit Speed, Indy Power Products, Jesel, Recaro, and more, this Fox will stand out in Las Vegas.

“Right now we’re kind of leaning to the Detroit Speed kit for the front and the rear suspension we're going to put the Ford Godzilla in with the Indy Power Products oiling system and front engine dress and a TREMEC Magnum...” Bob Folkestad, President of GC Cooling said in the project’s intro video. “We will put carbon doors on it and since it has steel quarters instead of trying to make them out of carbon, I think what I'll probably do is go in here and I'll just widebody this thing myself out of sheet metal so I can make it look ‘SEMA presentable.’”
