With a long history of auctioning off special machines to benefit a wide range of charities, Barrett-Jackson continues that theme at its Palm Beach auction. Held from April 7-9, 2002, the southern stop on the auction tour will offer up two vehicles to benefit people in war-torn Ukraine. One of these vehicles is a rare Shelby GT500 Super Snake from the S197 era.

Apart of the George Shinn Collection, this 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake(Lot #3003) will support Samaritan’s Purse for disaster relief and emergency medical care in Ukraine. Number 309 built in that model year; this low-mileage Mustang delivers 750 horsepower courtesy of a Kenne Bell-supercharged 5.4-literengine. Painted in sleek Vapor Silver, it wears several signature Shelby upgrades, including a carbon-fiber hood, front splitter, mirror covers, and rocker covers.
