THE F-100 SUPERNATIONALS

Family Affair with Ford Roots That Run Deep

Growing up, F-100 pickups were just part of the landscape. My family always seemed to have one parked in the yard or out back by the shop. For me, a proper F-100 has to check a few specific boxes—spotlight, bumper guards, round fog lights, round bed rails, and a hood emblem. Those small details bring back memories and make me wonder if those add-ons were just something the old guys in my area did, or if it was a nationwide trend among Ford truck enthusiasts.

Recently, I got back into the F-100 world with a 1968 of my own, and naturally, I went searching for inspiration. That search led me straight to the F100 Supernationals and All Ford Show, one of the most respected gatherings in the Ford truck scene. What I found was nothing short of incredible—rows upon rows of beautifully restored and creatively modified classics. It felt like every other truck had a Coyote swap or a modern suspension setup tucked under its vintage sheet metal. Yet, among all the high-end builds, the heart of the show remained true to its roots—original, patina-rich pickups proudly holding their own.

The F-100 Squad event at the Hard Rock in Pigeon Forge set the stage perfectly, with an unforgettable lineup of trucks and a strong sense of community. But the Supernationals are evolving. The next chapter will take place at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia, under a new banner—The Georgia Mountain Ford Nationals. The inaugural event is set for April 2–4, 2026, and it promises to carry forward the legacy of the Supernationals while opening the doors to all Ford vehicles.

The show’s strength has always come from family—both literal and extended. It’s organized by the three Blackwell brothers—Danny, Steve, and Jeff—along with their sons Caleb and Jesse, Chief of Staff Ben Johnson, and Registrar Ren Renneker. Their dedication, along with a network of passionate enthusiasts, has built an event that feels more like a reunion than a car show. With over 650 trucks, 6,000 spectators, and a schedule packed with activities, the Supernationals have become a staple in the Ford community.

Sponsors like Scott’s Hot Rods, Melvin’s Classics, Dennis Carpenter, Outcast Autoworks, Carolina Classics, MisFit Fab, Kahr Motorsports, Whiskey Barrel Apparel, Flatwood Customs, East Coast Mustang, and Big Daddy’s play a vital role in keeping the event thriving. But it’s the people that make it special. Veterans are honored each year, kids take part in a scavenger hunt, and newcomers are welcomed with open arms. That’s the real heart of the Supernationals—a family-centered event where everyone feels like part of something bigger.

Mark your calendars now for the next F-100 Supernationals & All Ford Show, happening September 17–19, 2026, at the Sevierville Convention Center in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Open to all Ford trucks and cars of every year and model, the Supernationals remain the ultimate gathering for Blue Oval fans. Hosted in partnership with Visit Sevierville, this event continues to celebrate the passion, craftsmanship, and community that define Ford enthusiasts everywhere.

For anyone who grew up around these trucks—or those just discovering them—it’s more than a show. It’s a connection to the past, a living showcase of innovation, and a family reunion built on decades of tradition.
