Over 350 Mustangs and Ford vehicles from 1964 and a half Mustangs to the latest 2022 Shelby GT500 crowded the show field for “Ponies in the Plaza”.
It was held in the newly opened Evans Town Center Park and featured a street party in front of the show site and across the street at Evans Town Center Park featuring live entertainment on Thursday night and three full days of car showings on Friday through Sunday.
The Mustang Club of America is now well over 12,000 national members and more than 170 Regional Clubs with an estimated reach of over 40,000 members at the local level. The MCA sanctions three National Shows and one Grand National Show per year and this was the Grand National Show for 2022.
Friday saw showers off and on most of the day between periods of bright sunshine. But it didn’t dampen the spirits of the loyal Mustang owner’s as they toweled dried their prized vehicles several times to prepare them for the judging. Saturday and Sunday saw the Sun shine brightly on the well-prepared show field.
The CSRA Mustang and Ford Club of Augusta Georgia was the responsible for hosting the show and did an awesome job and sent home many happy Mustang owners with trophies.
