If you know about the history of Ford Motor Company and its founder, you know that the Ford Fairlane vehicle’s namesake is the home of Henry and Clara Ford — Fair Lane. The Henry Ford Estate is a National Historic Landmark, and its raffle is designed to support preserve the property.
“Saddle Up is an on-line raffle, the proceeds of which will support the ongoing restoration of Fair Lane: Home of Clara and Henry Ford,” says the raffle web site. “Saddle Up provides a unique opportunity to support Fair Lane and get a chance to own a one-of-a-kind 2020 Roush Stage 3 Mustang by purchasing a $10 raffle ticket.”
So for as little as 10 bucks you could drive away in a one-off 2020 Roush Stage 3 Mustang that pumps out 760 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque from a ROUSHCharged Coyote 5.0-liter engine. The Fair Lane Estate vehicle wears all the Stage 3 upgrades plus a few unique touches, including carbon fiber mirror caps, a carbon fiber shift ball, a 1-of-1 serialized dash badge, and Fair Lane-branded seats and doorsills. It also bears signatures from Jack Roush Sr. and Edsel B. Ford II.
The winning ticket will be drawn on October 1, 2020, and the lucky winner will be on the hook for the taxes, licensing, insurance, and transport of the vehicle, but that is a small price to pay for a one-of-one ROUSH Stage 3.
